My Story
Hello There! I’m Paula! A happy scientist, Montessorian, and parent-educator. Becoming a mom was a pivotal moment in my life and during that time, I was introduced to the “Montessori way” of parenting. I learned how to be a parent with compassion and chose to be a conscious, present, mindful, and equipped parent for my children. I also fell in love with teaching other parents what I was learning.
As a mother of three children (two boys and a girl) I can easily empathize with the challenges and vulnerabilities parents often face; finding themselves struggling to balance career demands with being present and effective parents. In my previous roles being Montessori AMS certified and teaching parent education classes, I noticed an opportunity to not just work with kids or push special toys, but seek to improve the most important part of the parenting equation: the relationship the parent or caregiver has with their child.
I am inspired to build a space that would provide a healthy environment for parents and caregivers to share ideas, best practices, and valuable life experiences while spending quality time with their child.
When I am not working with families or running our Cambridge Playgroup, I enjoy spending quality time with my family at home or traveling. I love music, outdoors, and connecting with friends.
Becoming Loving Montessori
With the help of friends and family, and aiming to support parents during their parenting journey, In 2022, we opened the 1st Montessori Playgroup location in the heart of Huron Village, Cambridge, MA which is now our home-base. We created a comfortable, cozy and safe space for children and grownups to come and meet other parents from the community. In our Loving Montessori Playgroups, parents can learn Montessori-style parenting techniques alongside their children, and discover great activities that will encourage their child’s developmental growth.
At Loving Montessori, we provide an environment that helps parents and caregivers become more confident in their role as guardians. We have seen how they often leave feeling a little more confident and comfortable to come back and share what they experienced with their child from previous sessions. We want to continue seeing families become more connected while helping them form a more natural, healthy and friendly environment for their children, because at the end, the future of our children is in the hands of those who truly care for them.
Our Identity
We chose to use the fox in our logo because we believe the fox is an intelligent, independent, calm, and intuitive species, naturally connected with its environment and its pack. Foxes are excellent team builders, capable of creating the perfect environment of stability and security, which allows them to generate deep and enduring bonds between them and their offspring.
